San Jose, Costa Rica

San Jose, Costa Rica (January 2014 – April 2014)

The capital of Costa Rica – San Jose. I lived in Moravia, one of the many neighborhoods of SJ. This area was small enough to walk to get to the things you needed but also big enough you needed to get a taxi to get to most other places. I was about a 15 minute walking distance from the Lincoln Plaza shopping center. San Jose is central to just about all of the top destinations in CR. Finding transportation to where we wanted to travel to was fairly easy and cheap. I got to travel just about every weekend and I did my best to see that country in it’s entirety. I could still go back and see more!

My time spent in Costa Rica was before I created this blog. If you would like to know more about my travels and teaching experiences there then please click here.

While in Costa Rica, I got to go to:

  • Manuel Antonio
  • Puerto Viejo
  • Montezuma
  • Monteverde
  • Tamarindo
    • aka: Tamagringo
  • Arenal
  • Volcan Poas
  • Hermosa
  • Jaco

I also got to travel outside of CR:

  • Nicaragua
    • San Juan Del Sur
    • Granada
  • Panama
    • Bocas Del Toro

I can not wait for the day I get to go back to this wonderful country. I still have so much to see!
